Dude, what’s that smell?

If you have been training at the Stillwater Trumi location you have been lucky enough to experience the power of essential oils! It’s a beautiful thing really. Those tiny fragrant molecules are wafting through the air mingled with that sweet smell of sweat and the thing is, they do more than just mask the orders, essential oils can cleanse the air! The oils are invigorating to our lungs, our senses, and they even help to boost our positive mental attitude as Sara counts down, “Just 3 more seconds, party people!” (we all know it is really closer to 12 seconds.*)

Trumi inspires us on many levels. Our physical bodies are challenged weekly, our nutritional efforts are supported, and our spiritual and emotional health is encouraged. Through this effort, good friends and a strong community are created! The use of essential oils fundamentally supports the main philosophies that Trumi is founded on and teaches!

The use of essential oils have a positive effect on our physical bodies. We can rely on them to support a healthy immune system response, to soothe sore muscles, improve the appearance of our skin through the reduction of wrinkles or scars, and to promote a healthy response to inflammatory markers that we are constantly exposed to. They are powerful!

The daily use of essential oils can be used to support our nutritional journeys as well. We can use them to cleanse our body, aid in the digestion of our foods, and to reduce exposure to toxins by using them to replace chemically laden products.

Another benefit of using essential oils is that they can improve and enhance our moods. The aromatic compounds of the essential oils interact with our olfactory system which is in direct communication with the limbic area of our brain. The limbic system is directly responsible for our emotions and our memories. Amazing! Because of this we can turn to the use of essential oils to promote mental clarity and focus. We can also rely on them to invigorate our senses, improve our energy level and to elevate our mood!

At this point, I’d like to note that my recommendations are based on the use of dōTERRA essential oils. It is my due diligence to you to point out that essential oil quality varies based on the brand. Just as any other consumer product would vary, the same is true for essential oils. I encourage you to do your research.
